The only place you will see the puffins at Cannon Beach is Haystack
Rock. They nest there and arrived this year April 2nd and most will
leave in July.

Colorado has some awesome mountains, I grew up with them there in my back yard. It was great!
I would like to see Vermont in the fall sometime though, I have seen photos, that is beautiful there.

CJ that was the most breath taking post card I received today, It brought me back to when I was growing up in Arvada and would go out to the back yard every day and look at the mountains. Thank you so much.
Where are you close to Castle Rock, Colorado Springs or beyond. Are you in the same direction as Debbie Fischer is?

Loving the post cards that I'm receiving. I hung up my wrought iron "christmas card" holder this week and will be displaying all of my post cards so that I can see them every day :)

I am in the southwest corner of Colorado . . I can see Mesa Verde (Mesa Verde National Park) from my front window. I am 400 miles ONE WAY from Denver. Castle Rock, and Colorado Springs are on the other side of the Colorado Rockies from me. Debbie Fischer is close to Colorado Springs. Robin and I visited her a couple years ago and it's about a 6-7 hour drive to her house . . . lots of mountains to negotiate!!
The mountains on that postcard are in MY corner of the state . . YAY!

I have received my first three postcards of the season this last week thanks go out to
Marlene in Iowa for the beautiful postcard and to Debbie in Alaska for the Puffins, they are just so pretty.
And to CJ for the beautiful Colorado card, what a view you are so lucky. CJ thank you for doing this postcard swap again this year it is always so much fun to receive all the different cards. I do feel like I get to travel a little every time I read one. Take care.

Thanks CJ for the beautiful card! Thank you Linda, love the Orcas, we saw a small pod this year on a
gray whale cruise, they were rubbing there bellies on the beach! One came over to the boat and watched
us for awhile, not out of the water like your picture though!

Thank you Carol for your beautiful San Xavier Mission post card. I love
the architecture and history behind all of them. Been to a few of them
in California and found them amazing.
You are so welcome CJ and Marlene and Debbie. Glad to know my postcards are starting to arrive. Trying to mail them in small
batches weekly.
Aren't the Orcas such beautiful creatures in their own way, Debbie?
Lucky you that they got so close to the boat you were in. We've seen
them swimming out a bit when riding the ferries. What a site it must
have been to see them rubbing their bellies on the beach!

I received 2 new cards yesterday and they are great! One from Carole of a beautiful San Xavier Del Bac Mission in Tucson AZ.
It almost looks like a castle. So pretty.
I also got a post card from Joyce from Canada showing a collage of Vancouver Island where she lives and over by her family is in the photo at Long Island Beach near Tofino BC
Such pretty country.

A couple of days ago I received two postcards. One from Carole of the very white mission. How does it stay so white? if it were around here it would be gray or green from the moss or the caretakers would be washing it each week.
the other card was from Joyce in Canada. I could be very jealous of someone who lives at the ocean and who has lived on both sides of the continent. You can could see the sun rise over the Atlantic and set over the Pacific.

Going to the Post Office, just once a week, means a big haul when I am expecting postcards from the Farmgirls. Today I got 5! I can only imagine how jealous the mailworkers must be.
Thanks to CJ....the mountains are beautiful. I cannot imagine seeing them everyday.
