UPDATE: Changing this to ONE pillowcase. Big skirted bonnet ladies and ruffles theme. Colors would be in the colors of your partners choice. These can be machine embriodered, hand embroidery or applique.Sign ups end May 2nd. Partners posted May 3rd. Mailouts by June 6th.

Would love to do this, but cannot at this time. Grandbabies and all....I also joined in a swap once where we made a pillowcase with ruffles and all. We chose colors that would suit our partners and went from there. It was just one pillowcase, though!! I love the embroderied big skirted ladies with the wide bonnets....Smiles

My Memaw made me a quilt years ago w/ a big skirted bonnet girl on it and was my fave ! DO Y'ALL HAVE A PATTERN !!!!!!!!

Jami, I typed this into google and came up with a lot of variations. southern belle ruffled embroidered pillowcase pattern
You can also find pre-stamped pillow cases at Walmart and maybe the craft stores.
The tops are embroidered or appliqued.
Here are two examples I found online. The lace can be part of the skirt or edging on the pillow case.

by the way......how far is Goodrich from North Houston - Kingwood Texas......seems like I've seen around here. Ya just might be in my neck of woods :-)

Jami, Kingwood is not far from here. There is Porter, then Cleveland, then Shepherd, then Goodrich before you get to Livingston. All along HWY 59. You are in my neck of the woods! :)

Welcome, Suzanne. May 2nd is last sign up day. So far just the two of us unless we get some more to sign up! :) Colors are based on what your partner would like her pillowcase to be in. I like to do the hand embroidery on this type of pillowcase design and also do machine embroidery too.

Sorry I am just now replying. I spent the week and weekend doing kidney stones and lithotripsy. All better now. Wow no takers. Ok. This will be mine. My girls can fight me for it. My hubby and I have a bed room painted in something called Beehive. Very much the color of this Mary Jane background. ( a mello soft light honey) It has moss green and a red that borders on rust. And blue. I have added a pic. But do not purchase special thread. If you don't have those colors then do cream and tans. I am just excited to do the exchange. My mom loved to embroidery and she taught me.
