For those of you who love the works of Tasha Tudor... I found this sweet little 1954 book by her... how many young girls today know what a 'muff' is...

I love your T.T. book...so sweet. My two grand daughters know what a muff is becuz I knitted a muff for each of them! I have also noticed that the green bay packers use muffs to keep their hands warm during the cold wintery football games...they probably don't call them muffs but they certainly are! They wear them in back around the waist instead of in front. I love it! Grown up tough men using muffs...whoda thought!

I had a muff when I was a child in the '50's. It was white rabbit fur and I LOVED it. Not much use for it in So. California, but I still used it all the time.

Cute book Kat. I have a lot of Tasha books but not that one. I had a white fur muff when I was little, went with my red velvet snow suit.

I love Tasha Tudor...I was blessed to find a book about her life at one of my
Favorite Antique Malls a couple of years ago. I treasure it.

That was a great little find you got Grace. Precious!

I love Tasha Tudor too. I have watched films about her garden and the way she lived. I wish I could live like her in peace.

Tasha Tudor had a fabulous vintage dress collection,, Victoria magazine did a feature on her dresses... the dresses were auctioned off but I don't recall if it was before or after her passing...

and I have a small collection of Beatrix Potter books and mini books... she is another favorite of mine..

and yep, when I was 10yrs old, living in New Britain Conn., I had a white furry muff, satin lined.. oh I thought I was all that & a bag of chips! lol!

Oh I remember having a blue muff with gray fur on the openings and it was lined in blue satin. Loved it. Wish they still had them around or made them. Might have to try my hand at it!
Always enjoy Tasha Tudor and have a few of her books.
I am a big Beatrix Potter fan also. Have lots of her books and many of the collectible figurines of her characters.

there is a gentle sweetness that comes through both
Tasha & Beatrix's writings and art work.. I love the soft colors and imagery...
Which brings me to an artist of todate, whose work I luv.. Kimberly Shaw...
I go online to buy her sweet greeting cards...
I found her quit by accident,,, as I was searching out another artist who's
work I admire,, ' Alice Shaw', I don't know if there is a connection between Kimberly
and Alice.. but both a sweetly inspired artists.

I LOVE Tasha Tudor!!

I bought this book for my oldest daughter when I was still pregnant with her because we knew we were going to name her Annabel (spelled differently than the doll in the book, but I couldn't resist anyway!) She has always loved and treasured it, even now that she is a young lady of 12. She'll often read it to her younger sisters.

It's a great book, as are all Tasha Tudor works. Has anyone read Corgiville Fair? Another of our all-time favorites!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Tasha Tudor. On my list of places to see is her home. I had a muff as a child. More practical in Houston than mittens or gloves and just so cute! Don't know what happened to it. My daughter has a muff for her American Girl Doll. Tasha Tudor was an American treasure. Enjoy your find!

Tasha Tudor was always a favorite around here as well. Someone used the word "gentle" and I couldn't agree more. She had a gentle way about her and it showed in all her art!
GREAT find!
