Thats weird, Peggy, as you should be able to join even though it is a closed group. Can you try I again and see what happens? I can talk to the moderator too to see whats going on. :) Debbie, so glad you joined it too! :)

We have several FB pages. My issue with FB is that every day all is lost. It doesn't have a search function or categories so people have to ask the same questions and seek the same advice over and over again. It's like forever losing the knowledge of your elders (CeeJay, that would be me and you for starters:)

I feel like I am one of the last people on earth who is not on Facebook! Never had it, probably never will. Somehow I don't equate Facebook and this sisterhood as being in the same league so to speak. Not that I am putting Facebook down, I just really enjoy "talking" to my farmgirl sisters HERE or via private emails.
MaryJane, I wouldn't have a clue how to search anything out on Facebook, but from what you are describing, I think it may frustrate the day lights out of me! Ha ha.

Whenever and wherever farmgirls gather is a good thing. In addition, farmgirls like being able to find recipes again, Etsy shops, references to services, and also to check in on certain on-going easily distinguishable categories like Hogs and Quiches, Swaps, Mail Art, etc.
