Hi everyone :) Have been a fan of Mary Jane's magazine from a long time now. Subscribed for my daughter for Christmas this year too and she loves it. Even got my co worker totally hooked last summer and she subscribed for another friend. At this point we almost have enough people in one area to have our own Hen House haha. Have thought for a while now that I join the forum and have finally done so. I don't have an actual farm but I have had different critters in the past when I lived in places where I could have them. Chickens and sheep too at one time. I wish I could have chickens where I am now but we are a residential zone. :( It is snowing here this morning (blah) but will clear later in time to give us one more storm on Thursday. Waiting for Spring so we can put our back yard garden in.Yay! Hope everyone is having a good day Peg
Thank you for the warm hellos :). We are hunkering down for yet another snow storm. lol. This winter wants to go out with a bang apparently. That's okay I have movies and popcorn so I'm good.
Welcome to the forum Peggy! I am sure you will enjoy it here. Not familiar with your town but we love Maine for vacationing. It is beautiful there. My brother used to live in Calais.

Hi Levisgrammy :) Millinocket is about 70 miles North of Bangor near Baxter State park. I have been to Calais though not for a good many years now. I love Maine and have lived here all my days. Really can't imagine being anywhere else although the DM (dear man) would like to go south in the winter and hide somewhere warm. lol! Peg
Peggy hello back from a downeast fellow main-"e"-ac. I live near Machias. we harvest blueberries and hay. Husband cuts wood in winter. We're dabbling with maple syrup this spring. Just love this site. A big hearty down east welcome to you!

Hello Lorie! I love the coast. Spent a lot of time there on weekends growing up in Gardiner. Haven't been through Machias in a loooong time though. This summer it would be nice to drive up the whole coast line and see all the places I haven't been in a while :)
