Looks like a very interesting book Nancy Jo I will have to check it out.
Do you miss Downton Abbey? I sure do, can not wait for the new season to start.
More cold and snow for us too tomorrow, GRRR! I want spring too, although we sure need the moisture.
Have a beautiful day.
Hugs,
Debbie

I will have to look this one up. Enjoy reading while you get muscles from holding up the book. MB

Wow Nancy 800 pages...that is a commitment!! LOL I could never hold a book that big either.
That is why I use a Kindle Fire HDX (light weight).

Let us know what you think. I always like a good book recommendation.

Hugs,
Peggy

I miss Downton Abbey.....a lot! This is in reply to Debbie above. Doesn't it seem like it was the shortest season ever? Nancy Jo, I hope you enjoy your book and also begin to see a hint of spring up your way!

P.S. you really shouldn't tear up your book covers....did you not learn how to treat them? teehee

What's the book about? Just curious and too lazy to look it up...

Always be joyful; never stop praying; be thankful in all circumstances.

Since my brightmeadowfarms logo includes a goldfinch, I was curious about this book when I saw it was on the bestseller list. A goldfinch is a German symbol of luck. But since the goldfinch in the work of art that is the book title, is chained to its perch, I haven't yet taken the time to read the book.

I am sure it is full of symbolism.

I just like the "white bird, in a golden cage, on a winter's day, in the rain" song by ITS A BEAUTIFUL DAY and I am so happy this song is available on YouTube.

Of course the Goldfinch is not a white bird...

You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands - You shall be happy and it shall be well with you. -Psalm 128.2
