We don't do resolutions for the New Year in our house, we do wishes. So what are your wishes for the New Year?
Here's mine: Faith: I wish to be better at keeping a quiet time.
Family: I wish to make the most of my mom's last days here. I wish to play more with my family. And I wish that we will be bringing our adopted son home from Ethiopia.
Personal: I wish to live a healthier life by making good choices in my food and exercise. I wish to expand my music.
Community: I wish to surround myself with people who build up, not tear down. I wish to open my home and my life to others more rather than stay safe and closed off. I wish to be really write letters this year. (watch out penpal list, here I come!)
So what are your resolutions/wishes? (resolutions just seem so much bigger to me and I can never seem to keep them!)

I have these wishes.
Home: I wish to be a better housekeeper. We have a small apartment and stuff we do not need is accumulating. I also need to get to the backs of the drawers and shelves, under the furniture and in the closets.
Garden: I wish to have a nice herb garden this year.
Relationships: I wish to do more activities with DH and my dog Mitzi.
Career: I wish to start my business teaching knitting and crochet. I wish to start up an Etsy shop to sell my needle and paper art.
Personal: I wish to lose weight and not find it again.
Spiritual: I wish to learn how to make the most of this new maturity I feel.

I think this is a great idea! NO failure this way. I wish for health so I can serve others in a more grandeur design. I wish for my family health, wealth, and happiness. I wish for our nation a true leader that will lead us in a Godly manner. I wish for a cure for Lyme disease I wish for nourishing rains for our region so we can have bountiful crops I wish for a more creative mind so I can lose myself in the world of art. I wish to thank all of you here for sharing a piece of yourself and making my world a better place.

I wish for Joy... Indescribably-all-enveloping, whole-heart-warming, goose-pimple-tingling, silly-smiley-evoking, teary-eyed-giggle-inducing-unto-belly-laugh-rolling, Susie-sunshine-y-bright, apple-pie-eyed, full-on-jelly-bean-jar, everlasting Joy to well up from deep inside and shoot forth from every fiber of my being... and I want it to be tickly-infectious so other people are filled with it, too. :) Cheers! - Nini

I try to set goals each year and with the exception of diet and exercise (;)) I have done pretty good at keeping them :) My honey and I like to choose one or two new things to learn.
Spiritual: ~Spend more time in prayer and studying His word ~Memorize more scripture ~Finish memorizing Proverbs 31 ~Be more available to the Lord and serving Him
Physical: ~Get back on Weight Watchers and make healthier choices (lifestyle) ~Exercise more ~Try to get the full amount of sleep I need
Homemaking: ~Make 2 rag quilts ~Learn to properly knit ~Learn to make my own pasta ~Learn to make pierogis for my honey ~Learn to use my pressure canner! ~Learn cheesemaking
Homesteading: ~Start my own seedlings ~Save seeds ~Continue to learn as I garden ~Cut firewood ~Hopefully raise more pigs ~Help build a chicken coop and raise chickens

Thought I would share this will you all along with your wishes. This will help them come true. My wishes are pretty simple but have been illusive to me. Healthy food only More moving around Getting project done Creating some wild stuff Giving homage to the One who created me Sharing

Nini, My wish for the new year is the same as yours. Along with that to learn a new craft this year. Becky
May the stars carry your sadness away. May the flowers fill your heart with beauty, and may hope forever wipe away your tears. |
