Has anyone had ay luck growing a Meyer Lemon tree in a container to bring indoors and outdoors, weather permitting? I'd love to have one since I grew up with one in our backyard in California. Boy, do I ever miss that tree!
I have had a meyer lemon for two years. It grows in a small 1/2 barrel. I put in the garage during winter months and put on the deck when it gets above 50 degrees and is stable temp. Mine is green with lots of leaves and grows, but I have yet to have lemons. It may take two or three years to fruit, not sure.
Jeri, We have a couple of potted citrus plants. One has produced small lemons, I'm not sure of the variety. You might want to check the soil acid level and use an additive to make it more acidic. I'm not sure of the ideal level. Susan

Meyer Lemons are very easy to grow inside but prefer lots of light. They will produce lemon and grow fast, they can be pruned back very hard to encourage new growth and flowers = fruit. Good luck!
