My dear farm sisters. I have to apologize for many things. One for not being a very good swap partner these past recent months. I was completely bogged down in surviving the semester that sadly the swaps didn't get done. I don't want this to feel like it's an excuse but when I signed up for my classes I didn't anticipate being as busy as I was. I was taking 4 college classes, teaching kindergarten full time and working part time at a store. (Which meant M-F I'm teaching, M & T class after school until 9:30, W-F I would work after school until 10 or 11pm and I would work on Saturdays, that left Sunday to do homework!) It was a crazy busy time for me. I think it's been at least a month and a half since I even logged on here and I'm sorry! I tried to stay in contact with those that I had a swap with to explain my situation but I feel that some got left out of my communication. Currently I know I owe Pam Pennie a Thanksgiving card, I owe Marlene a Nov. Mail art and then I owe 2 Christmas cards. I know these are all past the dates but I want to keep my end of the deal and I will be mailing them out tomorrow. Please forgive me as I never meant to leave anyone high and dry, and get things in the mail then not send something out. It's not what I'm about. I have also received some things I will be posting thank you's for! It's the first day of Christmas break and I'm busy making things in my office! (After I cleaned it of course!) If I have missed something else that I signed up for and didn't acknowledge in this post PLEASE don't hesitate to let me know as I want to make things right!
On a happy note, I did get engaged over my birthday! (However, even my fiance asked if I could spend an hour or two more with him each week once my classes were over. I was heartbroken to have him ask me that!) Thank you for your understanding! Betty Metz |

Betty...Congratulations on your Engagement! I am happy for you. But I agree...how sad that your fiance' even needs more time with you...that means you are way to busy and way to over committed. You need to back off where you can and remember the gift of your time is the most important gift you can give to others.
Love and Hugs, Peggy

Oh Betty, I have been in your shoes and there just aren't enough hours in the day. I suggest you make good on the swaps you want to catch up on and then don't sign up for any more until you have had some time with your honey. The swaps are such fun and it is easy to get overcommitted. Heart felt congratulations on your engagement! What wonderful happy news. Have you set a date? Did you pick out your ring? Come on girl, I want details! :-) We will all be here with more swaps when you get caught up. Hugs to you, Joey

Betty, don't feel bad; everyone has been there at one time or another. I know what it is like to teach k all day and then go to college classes for my Masters (drove 160 miles round trip 2 days per week)and I was NOT YOUNG!!!! So, step back, breathe, and enjoy your time off and spend time with your guy. Congratulations on your engagement. Hope you have a wonderful marriage; I just celebrated 43 years with my high school sweetheart.
Hugs, Portia

I got my Mailart and I love it. Thank you so much. And congrats on your engagement. I also want details. Lol My hubby and I just celebrated our 29the anniversary. when we got married we liked to sing the song 'I Got You Babe" by sonny and cher. People thought it was hilarious.
