Hi Girls, I saw this idea somewhere and tho't you girls might like it!

First to see photos, Google: Ribbon Dolls
The dolls have paper doll like faces and bodies and then all sorts of ribbons make the skirt, long and flowing. Then on the back some have wings, fairy wings, or butterfly like wings. They have a hanger so you can hang and enjoy all year long.
The ribbons that hang are all different kinds, not just all blue or not just all white, they are all sorts of ribbons, making the doll very beautiful. Even pieces of lace can be used. They are at least 12 inches long, even longer for some. The ribbons flow down...
With the winter doldrums setting in, I tho't this might be fun to make after the holidays.
Rules:
1. This is a winter Angel ribbon doll
2. Must have wings and a hanger
3. Must have at least 3 different colors or kinds of ribbon and
lace.
4. Please do your best work...farmgirls are the best!
Sign up ends January 3rd
Mail out by January 23st
Hint: Ribbons are usually on sale now and right after the holidays. Think silver, gold, all the pretty ribbons they have out now!!

I just Googled Ribbon Dolls. So pretty. I want in. I'm a little confused about what is a hanger. Clothes hanger or one like a picture hanger.

Hi Patsy, The hanger is a ribbon loop that you can use to hang the doll up...like an ornament hanger...hope this helps! Thanks for joining!

I have finished my Winter Angel Ribbon Doll and had so much fun that I am making another one. The second one will be for a friend who gave me loads of her late mother's lace and ribbons. I am giving it to her as a thank you. My Winter one also incorporates the vintage lace as well.

Beth, I just received my GORGEOUS Winter Ribbon Doll! I love, love, love it. You are one talented lady. Yours has been finished but I was just waiting a little while. But, I will probably mail it Friday. I will let you know.
