One of my favorite hobbies is weather. It looks like we are going to have a winter event this weekend. This is very rare for our area so soon.
Here is my facebook page if you are interested.

Storms are fascinating. They can be beautiful or threatening. I have set out in a car that had tornado winds, never want to do that again!!! Or have a blizzard like we did in KS in 1984? Two back to back blizzards. Not fun, lost lots of cattle and calves.

I had never thought of my interest in weather as a hobby, but I do mind alot of attention to it since I work outdoors as a landscape contractor. This area of the country is very hard to forecast because of our topography so there are often days when the weather rock (is it wet? It's raining) is more accurate but I do enjoy watching weather reports and monitoring airport and school weather stations. This week we've had some unseasonably gorgeous sunny weather but along with that comes frosty nights and colder daytime temperatures. Beats the rain any day as far as I'm concerned!

Cheers! ~ Marilyn

Check this out. This is some reminiscence about the 1991 Halloween Blizzard. I have a picture of my pumpkins sitting in the snow.

Love the weather too...looks as if much of the country is going to see a significant weather event this week with a mixed bag of precipitation...rain...ice...sleet...freezing rain and snow...here in KY we are expecting flooding also...my father shared a great love of weather with me when I was young :-) :-) :-)

Hugs!
