What amazing treasure! I can't imagine finding so much fun in an attic. We only managed to inherit junk when we bought our house. Congrats!!!!

'Barbie' got such a bad rap in the feminist era and not all that long ago (again)... It was touted that 'Barbie' was an un-obtainable, un-realistic roll model for young girls... even thou Mattel had a whole line of career Barbies... (doctor, pilot, vet., etc...) but what certain 'thinkers' didn't factor into the equation... was that for some little girls, like myself,,, having my Barbie or any other type of doll, was a comfort, a content familiar companion... not being able to set down roots, in a new apartment, State or Country every couple years, having my Barbie to play with in the car, balcony... etc was a comfort for me... Did I want to grow up to be Barbie, oh sure! but I also wanted to be a vet, a Nun and a Stewardess (flight attendant)... did playing with my Barbie define me? No,, and as for my career goals... I was a Pre-school teacher for 10 years and a Correction Office for just shy of 19yrs.... so see, Barbie did not harm my brain!,,, just fond memories... :>) I'd give anything to have my old Barbies,, to place on my shelf as a reminder... of traveling across the USA in a sky Blue Ford station wagon, playing imaginary games of life in the back seat... and pinching my sister cuz she was sitting to close to me! lol! Ok, I must confess,,, I do have 1 Barbie (bought several yrs ago) stashed in my western container for my trailer, she is garbed in western wear... I had a horse to go with her... but I gave it to a very special lil girl who fell in love with it. >^..^<

How fun, Grace! My mom re-discovered her copy of the game a couple of years ago and we all had a good laugh over Poindexter!

How fun Grace! Aren't those finds such wonderful treasures! I used to love playing with my Barbies. My brothers both had GI Joes (the original ones) so we used to play army. OH and I had a GI Nurse which I could kick myself for not taking care of.
I'm glad that you are getting settled in your new home and hope that the squirrels and mice have moved out permanently :)
