Hello My Farm Girl Friends!
This is your roving reporter inquiring this month:
What is Your Favorite Hobby? What I want to know is doing you crochet, knit, sew etc...and if so, which are your top 3 favorite's that you do the most?
Mine Are: Mixed Media Art, Altered Art, Sewing, Crocheting, Scrapbooking and Card Making!
Cooking is my biggest hobby, but lately I've begun to make homemade liqueurs and infusions. There are several large batches of homemade Grand Marnier, Vin d'Orange, and limoncello mellowing in large gallon jars in the basement as I type. Lest you think I'm just a huge lush with a drinking problem, the plan is to bottle it in pretty bottles and give it away as holiday gifts. They're very easy to make and it's much less costly than buying their commercially prepared counterpart.
1. Scrapbooking (digital and traditional paper) 2. Quilting 3. Everything else. Heh heh. I love to dabble in all sorts of crafts and I have a hard time concentrating on just a few things. Knitting, crocheting, dressmaking, embroidery, needlework, jam making, to name a few.
I used to love to cook and bake, but since I've been diagnosed with some digestive ailments I can no longer have gluten, eggs, diary, soy, nuts, meat and acids, well... the joy had gone out of that as I try to find foods I can eat and that my family will like as well.

I persue so many types of hobbies. If I had to pick three, they would be
1) Crochet - I've been doing it since age 8 learning it from my Grandmother and now I teach the skill.
2) Book Collecting - I have several antique books, mostly literary, and several dictionaries in a variety of languages.
3) Paper Folding - I make stars using a technique called tea bag folding. The process is so calm and relaxing and I use only scrap paper.
My favorite is knitting. My grandmother taught me years ago. Stopped for many year later.........picked it up again a couple years ago. I enjoy it and love learning new stitches
I'm also getting back into sewing and making breads again . Thanks to farmgirls I'm step at a time getting back into things that give me peace and joy ;)

Definitely quilting, sewing and photography. This 52 week challenge we're doing here in the forum is forcing me into an uncomfortable zone, from which I'll only gain some knowledge and confidence. I also love to read. Anything fun to do with my hands would sum up my hobbies.
These days I enjoy mostly card-making, sewing, quilting, and earring-making. I've gone many many directions with crafting in my lifetime with hobbies like stained glass, mosaics, cross-stitching and stenciling (in the 80s), crewel and embroidery (in the 70s), you name it, I think I've tried it! I've made doll clothes and doll quilts all my life for my own dolls, my nieces and nephews dolls, cousin's childrens dolls, co-workers childrens dolls . . . oh, and I must not forget the Super Man outfit for my youngest son's teddy bear :) There is not enough time to do all that I love to do. :)

There are so many and I don't get time for them all. I enjoy crochet, quilting, sewing, and I am learning the art of knitting. There are so many more I enjoy but like I said I just don't get the time for them.

1. By far, my favorite is cooking. Each night I try a new recipe :) 2. Sewing - I love to try new patterns and make clothing for my children! 3. Oy! Crafting :D Specifically probably plastic canvas and cross-stitch are my favorites, though I also enjoy crocheting.
Like the rest of the farmgirls, I don't have just one favorite. Mine are, bicycling, hiking, gardening, reading, cooking/baking.

My top 3: glass engraving and painting, herb gardening, creating herbal goodies. I enjoy crafting in general but working with glass has been my favorite so far!

True enlightenment is nothing but the nature of one's own self being fully realised-- His Holiness the Dali Lama
We just got snow here and I went Nordic skiing, so that one is high on my list. I like to crochet, but pretty much only what we call "bunny butts" -- I crochet swatches of natural wool yarn, then felt it, cut it into ovals for the Quilt Scrap Jackrabbits that I'm addicted to making. So I guess that would be a third hobby...lot's of women in my family make wonderful quilts...I just like to play with the fabric!
My top 3 favorite hobbies are..... Decoupage, I sell them any chance I get. Baking and I sometimes share with people at church w/ coffee time. Scrape booking... I have 2 going, My husband & I Anniversary book & my son School Years book.
Right now, it is crocheting. Nonstop crocheting LOL! hugs Jessie

Making cards for Operation Write Home and pen pals. I like gardening and growing heirloom flowers and veggies. Will trying sewing catnip squares again to donate to Siamese Resce in Locust Dale VA once sewing machine is threaded again. Hubby has to load the thread for me, poor eyesight.
Support your local organic farmer.www.localharvest.org Have you hugged your cat today?
Gardening is my first hobby I love doing. Closely followed by repurposing items, crafting them into something decorative for the house. I am learning to make homemade cards with all sorts of crafting items it has been so fun, they will get better over time I am sure.
