I'm new at this blogging and chatting, so bare with me.
I'm a city girl learning to be a country girl. Retired 5 years ago and live on 88 acres of beautiful Pennsylvania woods. Anyway, since I moved to the country and have a basement with containers of old family photographs, some I don't even know who they are, I started the overwhelming job of going through the boxes. Any thoughts or ideas, I would be willing to have you send my way.
Thanks a bunch.

Dora, I'm in similar circumstances and have boxes and boxes of old photos. I had to set aside over the last year :(
Hope to continue again after the New Year.
I began by sorting into various envelopes the family pics I do know and divided by family name. Pics I'm not certain about I put into envelope with ?
I hope to place all into photo albums eventually. By family names.
There are hundreds and hundreds so huge photo albums just seems the way for me to go.
Some I also plan to copy and enlarge and frame to hang up a family photo gallery :)
It's a huge undertaking isn't it??? At the same time it's an incredible joy and honor to have these photos! Some are a hundred years old or more! Such a blessing!!
Good luck and enjoy!
Blessings, Linda

Hi, Dora! Welcome to Farmgirls! My advise is buy stock in the Ziploc company. You are going to need it! I'm with Linda. The place to start is to sort, sort, sort. Sort by like faces first. Hope this helps!
