Does anyone know if I can add flavored coffee grinds to my compost? I put my husband's regular coffee grinds in the compost, but I am so hesitant to add flavored! Its not that I think anything BAD will happen, I would just prefer my compost to be as natural as possible!
Any thoughts?
Thanks

I use a mocha blend (Which my DH says is NOT coffee if it is flavored!! ), I didn't know if there was sugar added to it, and if there is, is sugar okay for compost?

Yes sugar feeds the micro bacteria in the soil.

Teresa, coffee grounds are great for compost. Some gardeners even add it directly to the garden as a mulch because it takes some time to break down. Flavored grounds are probably fine but you may have mocha flavored tomatoes in the summer! :D

Haha...french vanilla strawberries! I think it is just fine to use flavored grounds. I pick up grounds from our local coffee house during the winter. I like to use the grounds on the paths in my garden. It looks neat and smells good.
