Today, Hubby's sister's transplant was scheduled for tomorrow, but will not happen. Only a few days prior to the surgery, they discovered possible problems in taking the kidney from the scheduled donor (one of her daughters).
I was told that in this type of transplant they take the donor's right, because it's typically smaller and the left has major arteries. From the information I was told, her daughter's right one is larger and they have once again, halted the operation. This is the 3rd time I think. First, it was the hospital stopping all transplants, then she got sick, and now this.
She has two more donors in line, but she could use prayers to hold her up. Her name is Lavina, and her daughter (current donor) is Linda. I'm sure this is emotionally upsetting for Hubby as well.
Thanks for the prayers. Doctors are to make decisions by the end of this week, but you never know with doctors.

Oh wow! How emotionally draining on all the family, I am sure! Praying that the perfect donor is "found" and that all aligns well with the surgery - just the right surgeon, donor, nurses, staff, health, etc. Also praying for the family - especially the daughter that was going to donate... I can only imagine the let down she is feeling. Praying people are lifting her up in spirit as well! |

Oh Kristina, I sure will put your sister in law in my prayers and that the doctors find the kidney that is going to be a perfect match with out any problems and that her body accepts it fast. I put you in my prayers as well.
