Had this idea while talking to a colleague of mine at the Extension Office.
Some of us are constantly in search of certain things. For example, twice a year, my colleague uses empty plastic water bottles for a science presentation she gives. A neighbor of mine is a preschool teacher and is always looking for plastic milk jug caps.
Some of the girls here make AMAZING things from recycled/repurposed items. Others are learning new skills, like me - I'm learning to crochet rugs from flannel sheets. I also am always looking for a few other items.
So I thought that if anyone else is in the same boat, it would be nice to have a place to post what we are "Always Looking For", and what we can barter in exchange. For example, I'm always looking for flannel sheets and shirts for various crafting projects. Also old blue jeans that are past their prime, and buttons. I'd be willing to send back some hand knitted dishcloths (in your color of choice), or a pair of pillowcases in your choice of colors.
Anyone else want to join in?

What a great idea! I am not looking for anything but it would be great to be able to check and see if I have something someone else may be looking for. :)

This is a neat idea, I have a mass collection of plastic lids from bottles and such. I would be happy with a wash cloth. Let me know. hugs darlene

Love this idea...
I am always looking for used sheets..stains ok. My disabled sister uses them to make tiered skirts that she sells at a flea market. This helps supplement her meager income. I have a large craft room full of stuff that I really need to get rid of. If you would like to barter, email me at annapearlsattic@yahoo.com.

Darlene, I would love some butterfly, flourish, or travel related rubberstamps if you do not use all of them in your swaps with others. If this works, what are you looking for? You name it, I may just have it. |
