Lost anything behind an appliance? I'm sure we all have. If you can see the object but can't reach it use a broom to pull it closer then get your long skinny BBQ tongs and use it to grab the object. No moving the appliance.

Arttie, I can relate! I am 5'1" and have learned to use all kinds of kitchen gadgets to reach areas there is no other way to get to. :) Sometimes my DH comes in and says, "Oh geez, what are you trying to get to now" as I am half climbing the cabinet and using a spatula to knock something off a high shelf. Things in our house disappear behind the chest freezer. It is in the utility room and the top of it is a catchall for whatever. Sometimes things disappear behind it. Having to unload it to get into the freezer is a pain, but . . . . I can get things out sometimes, but other time I have to move the chest of drawers next to it and dig around back there. What fun!
