I used to collect model horses and the Peter Stone factory that makes Stone models is in Shipshewana. Little girls love model horses. Cindy

You may want to get a hotel booked since there aren't a lot there. The Farmstead is a great place to stay, beautiful landscaping & a pond in front. We love to go for walks in the evening & listen to the frogs & the clip clop of the horses. They have a pool & play area. Also, take make sure you get off of the main highways & drive down some of the country roads to the amish stores at their homes. We love this, it gives you a true sense of how they live & especially in the evening. You can't really get lost. There is absolutely nothing open on Sunday except a gas station so make sure you plan for that. The Blue Gate is great food & also the Wanna Cup is what I call amish fastfood (burgers & fries, etc) but also very good. We have been many times, it is just a nice peaceful getaway when you need to relax. You can't go wrong.
