My brother in law bought an as-is house, in which there were hundreds and hundreds of skeins of yarn that he gifted me. I have had the idea to do a giant granny strip for ages. I adore it, but it will be a long time before I attempt anything of this magnitude again!

You are to be congratulated on finishing that size of spread. It is very colorful and I can see why you don't want to do another. I've just finished a queen-sized quilt (the second one) and have one more request to fill. I will be so happy when it is finished.
Keep up the good work.

Elizabeth,
All I can say is "WOW!" That is amazing. My attention span doesn't go past socks or mittens. I can't imagine the time.
Beautiful work. Arttie |

Beautiful Elizabeth! I can see why it would be your last for awhile :) I am sure that an abundance of hours were invested in it. I think it is worth it though

Wow! Such a huge undertaking! Your afghan is beautiful! (and,I feel I've accomplished a monumental task with a granny baby afghan.) Great job finishing this!

Wow Elizabeth, that is beautiful!!! (And what a lot of work!) I've done a lot with granny squares but never heard of granny strips. I love the way it looks!

That is a beautiful afghan! Several years ago I did a oversized double crochet hooked one. I love it. Very warm, reversible, and heavy. Never again! I use my double hook for dish cloths only now. |

Beautiful jobs Elizabeth! I can imagine that one took a great deal of time. No wonder you'll not be trying such a big project again for awhile. I bet you dream of yarn in your sleep now :)
