Betty, I love pink flamingos! (Well, I do live in Florida. LOL) My DD hates them. She thinks they are too tacky for her farm in NC, so everytime I see one I want to buy it for her...but I don't! I think they are so cute and fun! Joey

I like Brenda's comment about "intentional vs. unintentional" collections. Two years ago we downsized into a 900 square foot, 100-year-old house that we love...but really had to think hard about our "stuff."
I collect nativity scenes from around the world and get a lot of satisfaction out of displaying them at Christmas. I also collect rabbits & eggs that come out at Easter. Maybe that's one solution to collections in small spaces...bring them out once and awhile! :)

Hi Joey, so nice to hear from you on my post! I have to agree with your DD, I think they are tacky looking in the plastic ones in the front yard. In other forms I don't mind, just Please! not those plastic ones....LOL

Hi Marsha
I am interested in your new website and I tried to sign up for the special package where to be one of the first 6 joining, but I couldn't figure out how to do it. I did sign up for your newsletter though.
thanks.

I collect small sewing kits. I have some in paperboard cases and one really nice one in a zippered pouch.

Try everything once. The fun things try twice.

I intentionally collect anything dachshund, and Czech lusterware. I unintentionally have a collection of DMC floss. Funny how I have tons of it, and yet I still need to hop out to buy the one color I don't have for a project.

I collect a lot of things too, but major collections include antique butter churns and butter molds/stamps, anything to do with antique spinning and weaving, 40's & 50's kitchen items, books (loads of books), Jim Shore figurines.

Hugs,
Luanne

frogs, butterflies, antique kitchen stuff & vintage sewing machines (pre-1940), they simply amaze me. especially the ones from the 1800's. I own many sewing machines in my collection and they ALL work, and also sell them and their parts. I've found that there are also many other people that collect them too.

Connie, that is one item I have not had a passion for, LOL. But, I do have a friend that is going to show me how to do more and I think that will make all the difference in my view of sewing!!! I love all things vintage so I do like the old sewing machines too. I had an opportunity to buy an old one with the foot peddle but passed it up!
