Over the last two years I have donated crocheted scarves to another cause, but for this year, I am donating locally in my area. I have spoken to them, and they are in need of ladie's knitted hats and gloves, and kids gloves. I am also crocheting scraves.
If you would like to join the cause, please inbox me. I'd like to deliver just before Thanksgiving of this year (2013).
Kristina- I support a local charity here where I live to provide knitted hats and gloves to the homeless. It is an ongoing need in many places. As knitting gets easier for me to do, I am finally able to make simple hats and contribute which I am delighted to do!

I also knit and crochet for our local charities, I just wish that make things faster. It breaks my heart to see people go without even basic things and makes me realize how very lucky I am. I mostly make lots of baby things along with scarves and shawls.

Since you get more joy out of giving joy to others, you should put a good deal of thought into the happiness that you are able to give...Eleanor Roosevelt
If anyone is still interested, my hometown is planning an event next month to help those in need, those currently homeless, or about to be homeless. It's a huge event and will help about 200 people. If you would like to help, I (they) need items by October 12-13. That date is pushing close to when the event is too. If you don't crochet or knit, and still want to help, send me an e-mail for a list of items they need.
And I will always take anyone's excess yarn to make winter scarves (to donate).
Ladies, I just wanted to share, that I'm up to 10 crocheted scarves now. I plan to deliver everything this week or weekend. Thanks again for helping out.
