We're leaving on a holiday in a few days, and will be driving about 3 days each way. We're pulling our trailer behind us. I'm wondering if you have any ideas for snacks I can bring along in the truck for my 2 year old. Also any suggestions for passing away some time while in the truck, if (or when) she's had enough. I'd appreciate any ideas, thanks,
Shannon

Hi Shannon :) (Feels funny writing my name, lol). My youngest son is two and generally eats anything, but I'm going to try to think more "toddler-ish." We also home school, so I'm hoping I can help you in that manner as well :)

Snacks: fruits - both fresh and dried (apples, peaches, grapes, orange segments, raisins, etc), granola bars, cheese sticks or cubes, crackers, veggie slices (baby carrots or carrot sticks, celery, pepper slices, etc), trail mix (we put it in a cup), ham sticks (buy a cooked boneless ham and cut it in julienned style sticks)

To-do: Do you have Pinterest? Have you ever heard of busy bags? I have a "board" entirely of busy bags that would have quite a few things in there for car trips... small books, possibly color wonder markers, lacing cards if she is able to do those, magnetic dress me up dolls or bears (Melissa and Doug has a neat teddy bear set), eye-spy bottles

Thanks for all your suggestions Shannon, I got quite busy right before our trip and didn't get to check my post 'til now. We had a really good trip and I did have a lot of the same snacks. The busy bags sounds like a great idea. We hope to go for a weekend soon so those would be handy. I hope to home school as well so I imagine I'll have ?s about that before I know it! Shannon
