Hello.
I teach 8th grade and one of my students lost her father on the 4th of July.
The family has no insurance and the untimely death was a tragedy at their home.
The widow and her four children are struggling in so many ways.
I am requesting prayer for the entire family, as well as, the success of a future
fundraiser for their family.
Thank you.

Thank you Kelly.
Our school community is rallying around them in hopes to make it a little easier.
Things like this make me remember to slow down and love deeply each day.

Oh Jenny, how sad. I will certainly send up some prayers for this grieving family. I have an 8th grader myself, and can't imagine. S very sad.
Good luck with future fundraiser a. What a wonderful teacher you are to care so much for your students...thank you for that!

Thank you Laurie. Every prayer they can get will help them heal. God reminds us to care for the widowed and orphaned.
I love each of my students as my own. They teach me so much more than they will ever know. God Bless.

Thank you Jenne and Joey.
I have been sending her fun little cards in the mail and today, to my
surprise, she sent me one back! So cute and special to hear that she's
hanging in there.
The fundraiser at a local winery is at the end of the summer and all
proceeds are going to her family for whatever their needs are.
It's awesome to know that we can make a difference in the lives of others.

Thank you so much.
I've been sending her cards every week this summer and today I
received the cutest card from her and she was thinking of me!
How wonderful and resilient children are...can't wait to see her again in the fall.
She's in my class. I'm so excited to see her each day.
I know all of these prayers are working! :)

Hi Jenny,

I am sorry to hear about this family. What a hard thing to deal with to begin with but then the financial hardship on top of it. I am praying for the Lord to comfort and strengthen your student and her family and for the Lord's provisions for them always. You are a sweetie and so encouraging to her I'm sure. I'm praying for the fundraiser to be a huge success too!

I am so blessed to work with middle school students.
They enrich my life and constantly remind me to keep
growing myself. They change rapidly during my time with
them and it is amazing to watch them grow. I'm a better
person because they need me to be. I will only be with them for
a blink of their lives, but they truly leave their handprints on
my heart. I'm always so surprised when they return to say hello.
It's even more amazing when they show up bringing their own
children to my class! I can't believe I'm that old! :)

The fundraiser for my student is tomorrow. Please
pray that it is successful to help raise the much needed
funds for her family's situation. Also, that it brings a
sense of peace and closure to this devastating experience.
God bless and thank you.

Prayers for the family and fundraiser. How sad this must have been...we had 2 gentlemen struck by lightening here in KY on Thursday working in a tobacco barn. It is so sad. Children have such a hard time understanding a loss such as this.

Hugs!
