so much rain -- our coop is right in the pathway of the water that has been flowing across our lawn -- here's my blog post with pics! :) http://troutwife.blogspot.com/2013/07/rainy-rainy-rain.html

You sure are flooded. Looks like that here too. It's just a steady drizzle here though. For the past 6 days straight. And it's going on into next week. But we are cooler here. In the 70's. Can't get out to work in the garden or enjoy the nice cool temps. I hope this all moves to the west and gets poor dried up Texas soon. And I hope your chickens don't drown in all this water.

I just went out this morning to move the 2 chicken tractors in the sheep pasture. One of them was right in the middle of the new pond that happens when we have lots of rain. I felt so bad for the chickens. But they have plenty of roosts to get up out of the water. I moved them to higher ground! I am so ready for some dry weather for awhile now. But it sure is humid out there this morning. I hope you are a bit drier today.

We have been flooding here too. In 2 days we had over 9 inches of rain. I have been cleaning my barns out twice and sometimes 3 times a day. Its been raining here for over a week straight and on and off the week before that. I have been going through hay for my goats like I do in the winter. Its still raining and they are calling for heavy rains Monday and Tuesday. I thought to myself when the weather lady was saying this what the heck were we having this past week but heavy rains. She said it like it was something new coming......not....lol.
Many people have been flooded out and our road has been under water several times. I want to see the sun so bad.
My garden has blight and now a white mold thats killing everything. I tried spraying but it just gets rained on and washed off again. I can't seem to stop it and its even in our grass. I wish I could send this rain to other states that really need it.

I hope your chickens are going to be alright. Thats scary how much water was in there coop. Looks like a river running through it. Kristin put some life jackets on those chickens. I think I might just put my canoe in the back yard and paddle around.

Okay I will stop whining now.... I know people have it way worse than I do. I just had to vent my frustrations out. You all stay dry if you can. Take care.
