Hi all!

New girl on the block here. I am a married 38 year old, with a greyhound mix. My husband makes wine and is an oil painter. He also enjoys taxidermy, fishing and hunting. I am a Jane-of-all-trades. I love cooking and baking. I am gluten-free, and a healthy living nut.

My hubby and I are doing our best to live sustainable and self-sufficient lives. It's a big change, but we love a challenge.

That's me in a nutshell. I have a ton more I could say.... I am a writer, published author, and work PT at a healthy living store.

Welcome Yvonne! Nice to see another Midwestern Farmgirl joining us here. I can't wait to hear more about your interests, you'll find a lot of kindred spirits here! Does your husband sell his paintings on-line?

Thanks for all the kind welcomes! I appreciate it. I am a farm-girl wannabe, currently trapped in a trailer park. My husband and I would love to own some property and actually become self-sufficient. I love been green and sustainable living. We are both creative creatures!

Right now I write for my own blogs, my favorite being http://www.holismcoach.org, as well as being a paid writer and blogger. I will pretty much write anything if it means I can work from home!

I also have 4 children's books published (Frankie the Firefly), a fiction book and a couple health & wellness books.

O, a trouble's a ton or a trouble's an ounce,
Or a trouble is what you make it!
And it isn't the fact that you're hurt that counts,
But only--how did you take it?
