Welcome to the neighborhood. Busy haying here in northern Michigan. Cattle moved to new pasture this morning. Cooled off a bit in the last few weeks so chickens are laying more. Glad to have so many farmgirls to chat with. You will enjoy all that MaryJanes has to offer. See you around the farm.
Don't be sorry that it's over... Be glad that it happened. |

Welcome to the Farm! I just love it here. Everyone has been so kind, generous, and helpful. My husband told me the other day that "You have finally found a group of women that like and do the same things you do." Boy was he right. It has been wonderful to share with others that have things in common with me. I have found a home away from home and love it. I have only been here for the past 9 months and plan to stay for a very long, long time. Hope you will be as happy here as I have.

Hi Everyone; I am a newbie. I'm not really sure where to start reading, or what to read. My eyes tire easily reading online. So I try to find the items I want to read thoroughly and read those items first. SO any help there that can get me moving down the road to Sisterhood I would appreciate. I love the idea of belonging. I am a long time Country Girl wannabe so finding MaryJanes Farm and her magazines really gave me the food to fuel my dreams. My DH and I are both retired, empty nesters, and country at heart. I love all my MaryJanesFarm magazines and read them cover to cover many many many times. SO as I said I love those magazines so very much. I have a great dream at one day having a place that we could have a couple of Hens and maybe a couple goats. It is a dream and we have a 2 yr plan to move away from this home we are in now and find something in a more coutry setting than the one we have been in for 30 yrs. We are paring down our household and have sold some things to keep on our destination. I need some guidance and help in finding things to get me going. I'd love to chat with those that are interested in all things country. I quilt, crochet, sew, paint ceramics, beading and pretty much anything I can craft I love. Thanks so much Ladies. I look forward to chatting with friends and Sisters.

Hi Lynda, I am new to the sisterhood too. Presently, I am reading Sisters on the Fly and Happy Glamping. I also just received my copy of Mary Jane's book, Outpost. The Urban Farm magazine is also interesting. Have you found the Sisterhood merit badges yet. It sounds like you have many talents and might enjoy receiving merit badges that high light your talents. Or perhaps, you may find them an eady way to guide your learning process and prepare you for the big move in two yeats.
Happy glamping!!! |
