Hello all,
Having just gotten thru the Memorial day holiday, I wanted to see what connections others may have to our military.
I am an Army brat, traveled the world. The wife of an Army veteran and the mom of Army and future Navy sons. Lots of military in our family.
My husband is a foreman at The National Cemetery so we are very tied in still as you can see. Would love to gather and support those who have folks serving still.

Blessings,
Laurie

I did not have much connection to the military except my eldest brother was in the Navy and my husband was in the Navy when I met him. It is definitely a very different kind of life. One I don't think anyone who has not been connected with can even begin to understand. We have been out of it since 1989 and I imagine it is quite different now than it was then.
We do support those we know who are military. I think it is very important to support those who are in and their spouses and families. They sacrifice so much. Much more than people can imagine.

O, a trouble's a ton or a trouble's an ounce,
Or a trouble is what you make it!
And it isn't the fact that you're hurt that counts,
But only--how did you take it?

Hi Laurie...sorry I have no one recently in the military, but wished to ask you to thank them profusely, for putting their lives on the line to assure the freedom we are experiencing every day. My grandfather was in WW1 walked all the way from Africa's shores to Germany in WWII, and worked in the Policing of Korea after the War...I have therefore met many people in the Divisions he was involved in, and there are no better people I have known. Thank you and Bless You All!

Hi Laurie, Blessings to you and your family who all have served. My daughter just got out of the Navy after 10 years and her husband is just getting out and I am very proud of them. They also have 16 month old baby twin girls they are raising. That in itself has been an adventure for them. My father was in the Army in WWII and I had various uncles and cousins serving during that time as well. I am very proud of what they did for our Country. I know that my father received a medal of honor and a purple heart. That was great. I miss them all.
I am proud of everyone of them and of all who still serve. Tell your husband thank you so much because I know he really cared about our Country.

Thanx to all who serve!
I have two nephews in the Air Force....both attended the USAFA in Colorado Springs.

The oldest (with wife and kids) is stationed in Las Vegas from previous stints in San Antonio and London.

The youngest has been across the country and Alaska. Teaching at the Academy now but just moved the family into a fifth wheel for a couple months and then on to Alabama. The most interesting part of this story is....my niece is 6 months pregnant and they have to sons, 8 and 6 and a daughter 3.......remember, all in a trailer! I'm in awe at them and their ability to adapt. They are amazing.

Our family is lucky that our boys are not in a war zone......but that can change at anytime...both have flown into war zones in the past!

I don't think the average person realizes just how much military 'families' give up for this country! Bless them all!

My best to all,
Mel

I am a Navy veteran, my ex-husband is a Navy veteran. My stepfather was in the Navy as was my brother. I have two sons, one of which is in the Air Force and is a reservist. We are a very military family. I am proud of my son who is presently serving.

Bless all of your families!

My little brother served a tour in one of the nastiest parts of Afganistan in the Army. He is now a disable vet.

Many Blessings- Alicia
