I'm going to be showing my support and protesting the take over of our food system and destruction of our environment by Monsanto. I walk with a cane and so will come in dead last and several blocks behind likely, but I'm doing it anyway. This is something that I'm very passionate about. Monsanto has to be stopped at all costs. I'm surrounded by Round Up drenched GMO wheat fields, and am sick because of it. I'm seriously gluten intolerant and I feel that the GMO crops are majorly contributing to the huge increase of health issues around the world. Many countries have banned GMO seeds and America is suffering from major spending GMO, chemical and agriculture giants. The lobbyist in Washington are aggressively pushing the interests of Monsanto and it's ill through. We all need to stand up for food freedom and stop Monsanto from deciding our food future.

Thanks
Here is the information so far, I'll update as the march gets closer.

MARCH AGAINST MONSANTO, MOSCOW IDAHO
Saturday, May 25, 2013
10:00am until 12:00pm

We're joining over 280 international protests to show that we do not want Monsanto running our food system and polluting our food's gene pool.

We will march from Rosauers to the Moscow Food Coop through downtown to show our solidarity and to request the removal of GMO products and those that fund anti-labeling campaigns from our local stores. We deserve good food for our friends and families! Come on out and show support.

Good for you! I wish I could be there too. Everyone needs to fight against Monsanto until they are out of our food system forever!

Have you heard about Simplot's request for GMOing potatoes? Something to do with french fries. I agree about the health issues. They will not be understood with the present regimen of treatments. Besides that, I'm not into drinking Roundup.

Annika, How did this march turn out? Were there a lot of people? Have you felt any impact yet? I am curious because I too have a personal vendetta against Monsanto. I have two autoimmune diseases that I attribute to GMO and pesticide laden food. I did a lot of research when the doctors told me that they didn't know why my body was attacking the pigment in my skin and killing its own red blood cells (I had to have a blood transfusion!). No explanations... so I found my own answers. Now I am trying to learn how I can do more to help this cause. That is one of the things that led me here (organic lifestyle).

Well, I hope the march went really well. Keep up the fight.
