Oh goodness gracious, not what I had hoped for. I sure hope she will be released again tomorrow. So stressful on all of the family, prayers still going strong for them all. Bless her heart for sure.

Shaina was released from the hospital today. She and her mom are settling back into the Ronald McDonald house. Her dad has taken the bus home today.

My daughter just sent Shaina a pen pal letter.

Good evening everyone,
last night Shaina slept well. MoM on the other hand had just fallen asleep when the IV pump alarm went off. Mom dealt with the pump and pump company from one to two in the morning. Shaina slept through it all.
Shaina ate a few bites more than she did yesterday. Shaina is having problems with having no appetite so eating and drinking is hard.

Good evening everyone,
Shaina and her mom are still at the Ronald McDonald house. She is eating a little bit each day. She has a harder time swallowing liquids.
September 11th is her birthday. Her mom wanted to make sure all of her mail buddies know that. Please if you send her a card send it to her house.

Shaina went into the hospital again yesterday with a fever of 104.
Shaina's blood cultures came back positive for a bacteria. They won't know what
kind of bacteria for a couple of days. She's still feeling very nauseous. The
good news is the antibiotics must be working because her temp has stayed
down.The bad news is that she has to have her pic line taken out today and a
temp IV put in. Feeling very frustrated:{

Holly,
Please let Shaina know that a whole class of 8th graders is keeping her
in their thoughts on her birthday. I teach in a public school so I can't ask
them to pray for her, but they are sending sweet thoughts her way.

Shaina had an endoscopy today to find out why her belly is hurting. They also reimplanted the pic line.

Here is a note from Shaina's mom
Poor Shaina just had to have an NG Tube put in because she hasn't eaten in so long. It went in quickly however it was really tough for Shaina and I. It broke my heart to see her have to go through yet another darn thing.... PLEASE DEAR GOD I PRAY TO YOU WITH EVERY OUNCE OF MY BEING.... PLEASE ALLOW THIS TREATMENT & BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT TO BE WHAT SHAINA NEEDS TO BEAT CANCER & TO LIVE A VERY LONG HEALTHY HAPPY LIFE & PLEASE ALLOW HER TO SAIL THROUGH THIS TREATMENT & BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT WITH OUT ANY SHORT OR LONG TERM COMPLICATIONS.
Jenny, Shaina's mom and family deeply appreciate you and your classes thoughts for Shaina.
JoAnne, Shaina's mom is very comforted to know that so many people are praying and rooting for Shaina to beat this nasty cancer.

Yes Lord please give little Shaina the strength that she needs to get well and make her bone marrow do what it is supposed to do to help heal her. Lord be with her mom that she can stay strong for Shaina as well.
Help Shaina to gain the appetite she needs to eat so that the food can nourish her and start her healing.
Comfort her and bless them all.

Hello,
I fyou pray then please do and if you have spirit animals to guide you ask them to help.
Two days ago Shaina had a bad reaction to putting in the ng tube for her feeding and she threw up. Yesterday, was a better day. Her sister went down and spent the night, that made her happy.
