I need a better "punch line" on my business card and hoped y'all could help me out. As the card is now:

Victoria's Cottage Bakery

Specialty Cakes For All Occasions

Homemade Goodness With Professional Design
(this is the line I really don't care for but I can't think of any other way to put it.)

I want to convey that the product is homemade and taste good but the appearance is very professional. Many of you know that some people think homemade and their mind automatically goes to a less than professional appearance. A home business is hard enough anywhere but it seems in East Texas you really have to prove yourself. So if there are any ideas out there I would love to hear them.

And don't forget to visit me at:

I'm thinking hard on this one! Yes, E. Tex can be tough, can't it? On your FB page, you describe your sunflower wedding cake as "country elegance", so that got me to thinking about 'elegant'...

Maybe: "Elegant design with a Homemade touch" or "Divine homemade goodness",
"Divine Design and Homemade Goodness" "Divine Design meets Homemade Taste"
"Divine Design Meets Homemade Goodness"

"Refined Design With A Homemade Touch" "Sublime (or Sophisticated) Sweets with a Homemade Touch"

Just brainstorming while reading a thesaurus. Lol

Grandma's recipes, with modern elegant presentation.

Old fashioned flavor, with modern elegant presentation.

Home baked taste, with up to date elegant presentation.

you could use current or fresh in place of modern as well.

PS I have to tell you I would rather have a ugly cake then a lot of these cakes at the shops any more, they taste AWFUL! I couldn't choke them down! You're cakes are beautiful. People who don't like "homemade" have something wrong with their taste buds!

Amanda how have you been didn't we barter soap for bottles last year. Heather I could not agree more. I have tasted some pretty bad wedding cakes in my time. I have really worked on my frosting recipe and will say it is pretty darn good. But I think the real key is the amount of frosting too much of even a good thing can be bad. I use as little as possible. I have never seen anyone scrape off any of my frosting. How many times have you taken a bite of cake and ended up raking 90 percent of the frosting off? My sister's wedding cake had about 2 inches of frosting it was horrible. (That was before I started decorating)

Hi, Victoria! Yes, we sure did! I thought about you a while back because I had some more little bottles lying around. :0)

And, I totally agree about funky frosting! I like the homemade whipped and plain ol' buttercream myself. I hate the kind that tastes like straight up shortening and sugar. Blech!

I think Nini's is perfect as well! I wanted to say that last night when I seen it but I didn't have enough hands to type (nursing toddler! lol).

I like the home-made goodness phrase:

Home-made goodness baked with great taste. (play on words) :)
