Ok...so the homemade ice cream deal flopped as soon as I ran into the intense regulations placed on dairy products so I have opted for a new venture...I am making homemade lollipops (honey, maple syrup, blackberry, watermelon, grape), aprons, and homemade house supplies such as fabric softener and floor cleaner. Have any of you tried this route before? I'm jumping in with no idea what to expect, but I am itching to get started:)

Are you going to sell at fairs and festivals? Farmers markets perhaps?
I am proud to see that farmgirl spirit of not taking no for an answer. Just keep your head up and do what ever it takes. Let us all know if we can help out.

Jessica, Sorry about the ice cream project. What will the regulations on the lollipops be, since they are another edible? Wishing you good luck! Susan

I have a pretty good market...I work at a Mennonite meat processing plant/farm/store. People love to buy anything novelty/variety out here. I am also pretty close to Nashville and I have close connections to people who can 'market' for me quite a bit. This is a side project in addition to my full time job so it's not like I have to make a huge amount on it...and Im not sure about lollipop regulations to be honest...that's something I will definitely look in to:)
