I salvaged this puppy from the garbage at Goodwill (yep, they throw away donations, folks). I have to shoo scrappers from it 2 times a week when they come down hunting metal on garbage night because it's steel and HEAVY. But, I love that I can move it around my yard depending on what seasonal item I put in it, to show it off. Pansys and Violas make their happy appearance in the spring and summer usually finds it full of lantana and things that butterflies like. In the autumn, we stack it with pumpkins and the winter I put fresh greenery and holly inside with a bow.

I know they're out there, Deborah. I see them a lot at the Burlington Antique shows here in Kentucky, but they're "vintage" and have a pretty price on their head. I was lucky enough to get two great things that day at Goodwill--my daughter's 1950's era child's bedroom set that was made by a US furniture company in North Carolina for $25 total (1/2 off day) and this little gem for free out of their garbage :)
