I posted a prayer request for my Uncle (over in the prayer forum). He's about to hike the AT. I am following his hike, when he is able to update us.

Praying for your uncle's well-being as he hikes the trail. I know some people who have hiked parts of it. It was hard at times but they enjoyed it.

He tried to do this a few years ago, but had trouble with the shoes he had. He's very excited that my Mom and I are following his updates, and hopefully it will encourage him.

Guess what?
He got sick already after day one, and decided that hiking the AT was not that important to him. I was hoping he'd finish it, but he's not up to all the rain, owls and bugs.
