1. I sold my Boer buck and a buck kid last night and made the exact amount needed to get my milking machine!

2. And a safe trip to Nashville to get the milking machine.

3. Some beautiful very WARM weather for the next several days to do some tilling and planting in the garden. Then some rain Thursday to water the garden!

1.) Working at the church and loving it!
2.) Hearing some of the ah....interesting, I guess I'd call it....conversations and singing the teddy bear schoolers do while they are down at the bathroom by my office. Makes me giggle!
3.) The way the dog greets me everyday when I come home.

Wonderful idea!

Being grateful for our blessings gives us a better outlook each day.

1. Early mornings alone and enjoying the quiet.
2. Having my 7 yr. old granddaughter spend the night with us.
3. Looking up and seeing my sweetie sitting across from me and knowing we will get to spend the day together.

For today, Tuesday, April 9:

1. A bouncing happy little girl this morning, asking questions and talking about things on the commute to her Nana's. All at once she said, "Mahmee, you are kind and brave, like Merida." (from the Disney film "Brave"). Did that make my morning, boy howdy, indeed!!!

2. A new job that makes my husband less worried and stressed. And that makes for a happy household!

3. The birds are back! Just to sit quiety on the porch and listen to their evening song is a precious gift.

1. getting to know an aquaintance, moving to friend. She's in her mid-eighties with a quick mind, a world of experiences and interested in so much.
2. walking in the woods today. The last of snow has compacted to ice on trails but there is some GREEN! Mostly moss and lichens, but a few grassy leaves poking through the leaves.
3. Knowing DH is visiting with an old friend who had a stroke recently and needs to get some help, don't know if its meds for depression, moving into assisted living or what, but it reminds me why I'm so lucky to have the good man I married 42 years ago.

1. Rain - it is giving me a day to recover from yesterday's hard work in the garden, and giving me time to write.

2. Having quiet time to myself this morning. Having to get up early to drive my youngest to school (they are leaving for a 3-day camp), I had the pleasure of getting up extra early and that gives me time on the front porch before chores (one of my favorite places).

3. Friends - who encourage me to pray without ceasing. To not give up.

For today, April 10:

1. The FIRST EVER TO SURVIVE the-pesky-squirrels-at my house daffodil bloomed in the naturalized part of our yard. I went down this morning past the fencline to see it in all its splendor~the others are getting ready to burst open, too, probably by the time I come home this evening!

2. I woke up refreshed. That's not typical. Got an early start and was able to fill up the tank, stop to get something for lunch and treated myself to a White Castle coffee...and still made it to work with 15 minutes to spare taking the long way in. Flipped it to the classical station to hear some Vivaldi before walking into work.

3. Blessed with dear friends

1. Coffee...mmmmmm! I am trying a new organic blend with antioxidants in it

2. The rain, it's filling up my rain barrel, and giving my body another day of rest (and giving me time to work on indoor projects)

3. my front porch, this is always a blessing to me (and to the family, as they enjoy it as much as I do) A place of peace, a place to rest and enjoy life, a place to listen to the birds, a quiet place to read, a getaway from all that troubles, a place to think, a place to talk to God, a place to pray....
