Diana, Looks like you will be busy! You now have a wish come true and a gorgeous space. What will you be planting? And remember we want to see the results. Susan

I think you are right, Diana. What kind of veges are you thinking of? We grow okra, tomatoes, onion tops, carrots and beans Marly

Cy is at it again! I was at a garden symposium last week and saw a garden that mixes flower and veggies! The edging was red beets that look beautiful with their red foliage. There was all sorts of herbs mixed with flowers and other vegetables. It was beautiful! Good luck and post pictures!

Diana...I love when you tell a man you want something and he just goes out and makes it happen. That's my kind of man!! Cy deserves some kind of a Farmgirl Award for being Johnny on the Spot.
I love the idea of mixing Flowers with Veggies...it can be Pretty but Functional too. Gotta Love It!!!

At a local horticulture day one speaker showed her yard with mixed veggies, herbs and flowers. Kale is amazing in different colors and leaf shapes and I noticed early last winter how is stayed green and interesting when so much else was gone. I'd like to try some of that this year. Mostly our garden is edible, but I've started mixing in companion plants like marigolds, nasturtiums and a few herbs, and like the looks of that. Have fun! Susan
