YAY!!! My computer is fixed and I can be online for more than a minute at a time!! The downside is that the Geek Squad had to restore the hard drive, which means that anything I had on the computer is now gone. (Except for the things I had backed up on a disc.) All of the essays that I have been writing lately are history. Well, I guess this gives me another opportunity to make them better. But, I'm glad to be able to check in here and see what's going on. You gals have been busy!! I'll be chatting a lot to make up for lost time!!

I am so glad you are back. That is awful that you lost your essays! I am so computer illiterate!! I lost all my family history stuff when my last computer bit the dust almost 2 years ago..what a pain. I had alot of it on paper too, but had to re enter it to have it on a disc. I learned alot!! Anyway..glad you are back!!

Glad you're back Karin! It's no fun losing all your work and still being offline too! Hope being "Geeked" was a pleasant experience and not too costly!

Welcome back, Karin! The name "Geek Squad" is so funny to me - I've seen their ads, and they're pretty good, too. But alas, losing work is a real pain in the neck - it's happened to me, also - and losing your essays IS awful, I agree. That's a good way to look at it - as an opportunity. Glad to "hear" your voice again!
XOXO, Libbie

Oh. I spoke too soon. This morning as I was reading an e-mail, the computer froze and now it will not go back on. So, I am at my parents house using theirs and answering questions about why my computer is not working. Oh joy, oh rapture. Being "Geeked" was free, thank goodness we had an extended warranty, but apparently not successful. Back to the drawing board- it may be a new computer for us. I'll just trot up the hill when they are sleeping and use the computer question-free. :) Thank you, everyone, for missing me. I can't tell you how disappointed I am that I can't pop in when I want to. Grrrrrrrrrr.
