I really don't care for red;
so I am doing some of my
"red work" in colors that I like;
I have done a pretty blue before
so, any one else doing it too?
I have a deep rose colored bathroom ; master bath
I am thinking on doing some "Pink" or "lavender" ;; hugs sheila

I do then in different colors. I just did one all in blue. What ever suits your fancy. No rules on this one. I saw a beautiful quilt all done in green embroidery.

Right now I'm embroidering a lap quilt that was supposed to be done in red, but I'm doing it in a medium shade of blue. My favorite color is pink, but I think that I have enough pink. I'm really liking how it is coming out. I do like the color red, I just wanted to do something different.

hugs

I've seen commercial embroidery patterns distributed in "blue work", "green work" and "black work" so I think you can do them in whatever color you like!

I don't like red either and it doesn't go with the decorating scheme of my house, so I do things in my own favorite colors - mostly nature inspired for our "northwoodsy" decor.

I made two quilts ...both with chicken scratch embroidery, one with red gingham, the other in medium blue. Both turned out very pretty.

Sorry I should have added that I used white embroidery thread on both.
