A friend of mine here in town wanted to try my goat milk. I have over a gallon a day more than we can drink...so I sent her home with a quart bottle and she came back today saying how they loved it and wanted to buy it! Well...she is a good freind, and I am not good at charging for things so I said..oh no..I will just give you all you want..and she asked if I would be interested in trading milk for some of her honey from her bees!! I was so excited!!! Of course I said yes!! Cant' wait to try it. She has two hives and they do really well..what a fun trade..I feel so lucky and she seemed happy too.. I LOVE stuff like that!

Oh Aunt Jenny you are the sweetest person! Somehow this post really touched me. What a wonderful and kind person you are! Fresh honey, what a treat!

Wow! What a wonderful trade. I would much rather barter with people than deal with cash.

Jenny, I thought your post made it evident what a sweet person you are, too. A good person's light always shines through naturally and yours does frequently.
Milk and honey. Great trade. Sounds like an old story about a promise land!

This is so wonderful! I do a similar thing with a friend too. Until my baby chicks get big enough to start laying (I just got them yesterday) My girlfriend and neighbor has been trading me fresh eggs daily for fresh baked goods out of my oven. Today a loaf of cheese bread for a dozen eggs.

My SIL and I trade plants. I see my Iris and Peonies blooming and always think of her.
