We are going to live out of a camper with our 3 kids (3,2,1) while my husband works at his position at a camp out west until we can find a house/property to live in/on.

Does anyone else have experience with this and have any ideas/tips for me to occupy the kids in a small area? We will be moving in March and we will be about an hour from a big city with malls and museums.

I'm excited about it because it is a new adventure I'm just concerned about making it through the rest of the cold months in a small space.

Thanks in advance!!!

I lived in a 27 ft trailer for most of my childhood. There were three of us kids, two adults, no hot water, and no "facilities." That was almost the norm. We lived in courts with laundry rooms, showers, tubs, and bathrooms. We hauled our hot water from the laundry rooms and heated it up more in the trailer. Since it seemed normal at the time, it was possible. Where in the West are you going to locate? I hope it has sensible temperatures so the kids can play outside--hopefully in a fenced yard.

Good luck. It is a good way to save money to place on your permanent residence. We lived through a blizzard in Nebraska and hot temperatures in Oregon/Washington. It all worked out and we kids turned out normally. Not so bad when you have a goal in mind.
