Just finished these embroidered things a few days ago. Might I say might move on to something else now for awhile. I have an old quilt that I guess you could call a cutter quilt. I might try making some things with that.I'm not real good with sewing so we will see.

your stitching is so pretty! i can tell that you enjoy the work!

forgive my stupidity but what is a cutter quilt? one that is not able to be salvaged?

hoping you have a wonderful week! i can only look at your great pics on your blog on my computer at hme so i often have to wait for the weekend!

Penny,
Yes, a cutter quilt is one that is beyond being useful as a bed quilt, but can be cut up and used for lots of craft projects, pillows, bags, pin cushions etc. Its always sad to cut into them, but at least they live on.

nancy thx for the response-that was what i thought, and, yes, it would be sad...but as a history buff and geneaologist..think of the possibilities of sharing one's heritage with other generations if that was the source of the quilt...sorry...guess i'm in "ancestry" mode today!

Really darling work Nancy. Love the sampler. You do such beautiful work.
Just got done doing two sets of six towels that will be gifts for friends. I'm down and out after having ankle surgery, so I'm getting all my embroidery work done really fast now while in the recliner with my foot up. Surprising how much you can get done this way!! I'm now working on the Chakra symbols to be used as a banner later on when I can get up and do some sewing.
