i said i would post this for a farmgirl who needed the recipe....
2cakes yeast or 2 pkges granular yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
1 cup lukewarm water
2 cups milk scalded
2/3 cup melted shortening ( i use raw organic unrefined coconut oil)
3/4 cup sugar
4 teaspoon salt
2 beaten eggs
10 to 11 cups flour ( i use a high protein flour
soften yeast and sugar in water
add milk cooled to lukewarm
add eggs beat in gently
add shortening sugar salt
add flour to make soft dough let stand 10 minutes
knead on lightly floured surface till smooth and elastic
place in greased bowl
grease top and cover and place in fridge

shape rolls or bread 2 hours before serving
let rise double in bulk
bake rolls in hot oven 400 to 425 for 15 to 20 minutes
makes 4 to 5 dozen rolls
punch dough in fridge down each day
if you are freezing....make roll or loaf and freeze right away. then thaw in baking pan till double in size

i also make cinnamon rolls and cheese bread out of this dough
i am not sure if this will stay organized or become a paragraph. LOL i tried to make this simple to read
happy days baking

Do you roll out the whole thing for cinnamon rolls?
