I'd love a cast iron bread pan! I bet that would brown up my bread nicely. Although I'm now baking gluten free bread so not sure if that's possible! I do know that when I use a glass/pyrex pan it does not brown very well on the sides. I've switched to my metal meatloaf pan instead.

I've never tried a cast iron BREAD pan . . . use other cast iron pans and such.
I have also used metal bread pans, but I, personally, prefer glass baking dishes. That goes for cake and pie pans as well.
I do have a Pampered Chef bar pan which I like but it warped and I had to have it replaced and haven't gotten the replacement "seasoned" like I like it.

My favorite pan for baking bread is a metal one with a lid from King Arthur Flour. I just purchased it this summer when I visited their store, but you can buy it online on their website. It cooks the BEST bread I have ever tasted! It is a little pricey at around $25.00, but worth every penny. I use my bread machine to make the dough, then bake it in that pan. It slices so nicely and looks just like store-bought sandwich bread.

My favorite bread pans are my Longaberger pottery loaf pans... I've had them for YEARS and they turn out perfect loaves for me every time! :)

I like my Pampered Chef loaf pan. It always works best for bread.
