I do not understand how people can be sooo heartless, someone dumped a 10# terrier mix dog, over my fence last night, its raining and cold, this little boy was scared to death, hungry & thirsty, under weight and filthy dirty and wet & cold, dryed him off, fed and watered him, and put him in an empty dog run with a warm and insulated dog house till I can find him a safe home...

How anyone can be so mean I do not understand. But I have five dogs because of dumping on our property and a friend's property. Bless you for taking care of him and finding him a home. I've also done that or we'd have 25 dogs by now. Not to mention cats. I just hope someday it comes back to haunt them somehow.

What a beautiful soul you have. I cannot and will never understand any one who would do that to an animal. Super big hugs to you for taking that dog in. Will chat soon.
Love and hugs to you, and the sweet dog.

Hey,
that sounds like someone actually cared about that dog. Most of them are dumped off in the woods or shot. I know cause I find there dead bodies on my wooded property!
I have had several cats and a BEAUTIFUL Golden retriever puppy dumped ... I keep them all and love them all! KY. make the list #1 worst animal crulity laws! And it shows ... sorry, I just get so upset by it.
Thank you for taking care of the sweet defenseless animal ... your reward will come to you ...

Oh I can't believe how cruel people can be to animals. Kudos to you for being so sweet and kind to the poor little thing. You have a beautiful heart.

In the spring dogs are dumped here, just off the highway. Just because there are farms here, down't mean everyone wants/needs another animal. Cats that are dumped usually get eaten by the fox and coyote here. I feed several cats in our neighborhood. Tina, you have a great heart. My cat Smokey the Bear had been abandoned by his former owner. One evening I went and picked him up. That was in 2006.

well I have asked everyone I know, if they would ask everyone they know, if anyone would make a place in their heart for "Spot" (he's white with 1 tan spot on his side), so far no takers, I have vacinated him, and will have him neutered, if he stays here till he finds that perfect home. He is sweet and a cuddle bug, is good with my grandkids, and so far all of the other animals here, so girls keep your fingers crossed that he will have a great home soon...

Amen, to that, Teri. And- I bet it's not the first time Tina has taken in a dog or cat. Am I right, Tina?

LOL, yes I've taken in many animals over the years, dogs, cats, potbelly pigs, goats, horses and ponies, along with chickens, tukeys, rabbits, ducks and geese, and yes, very few ever leave here, but I have multiple dogs already, so I hope someone else with get smitten with him, and take him to their home, lol...

Tina! are those animals you've taken in over the years; the dogs, cats potbelly pigs, goats, horses, ponies, chickens turkeys, rabbits, ducks and geese, are they still there???????
If so, maybe you should consider keeping this unfortunate little dog. PLEASE!!!!! If I lived closer, I'd go pick it up. Many hugs to you.

PS: I should have called the dog by the name you already gave him, SPOT. I like that name. I'd love to see a picture of Spot! Hugs.

Do you have animal rescue groups where you live? Also, you might want to post a photo of Spot at Tractor Supply or your local Vet. People are looking for small dogs. Don't know if an individual can post pets on Petfinder.com or not. Our local rescue groups posts their doggies on there. Good luck finding that sweet boy a home. You are a special Farmgirl for rescuing him. we have three doggies of our own. Two rescues.

"Spot" is going home tomorrow with his new family, mom, dad and 3 little ones, he velcrowed himself to the kids, and it was heartbreaking to pull them apart for one more night, but his stitches come out tomorrow (glued and 2 just in case stitches), I'll pop them in the morn first thing and new family , minus dad, he has to work tomorrow (hes a firefighter) will be here at 10am...they heard about spot at my Vets when they were there looking at kittens, and deceicded on a dog and cat...

if you all had been here when his new family came to pick him up, you would understand that it was absolutly the right thing to do, the little girls were sitting in the dirt and Spot was busy for at least 10 min.s per child , giving them kisses everywhere, and the girls were giving them back, those kids and that dog, were matches made in heaven, and I know in my heart and soul, it was the perfect thing to do...
