Ladies, I have visited several websites that list essentail oils used for heat rash, but none have a recipe that I can use to mix something together and use. The recommended oils are eucalyptus, peppermint, chamomile, and lavender, and the article suggests putting the oil on a cloth and hold/bind the cloth to the affected area. I am sure I need to use a carrier oil, but I want to know how much carrier and how much essestional oil to use. I have a prescription from my doctor, but I don't want to depend on it every time this happens. I would rather make something up new when I need it. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

6 drops EO per 1 teaspoon of vodka in a cup of spring water and apply to skin. You can also add 4 drops EO and baking soda to bath water to help. How many drops you use will ultimately depend on you. With the EOs you listed, I would used maybe 1 drop each of eucalyptus and peppermint, 3 chamomile and 5 lavender in a 2ml bottle of carrier oil to start. You can also muscle test for how much you need by holding each EO at your solar plexus and asking your body if you need it (first) if you do you'll feel a pull towards it, if not you'll push away from it. If you need it, ask how many drops you need, 1 , 2, 3, etc until you push away. Sometimes I get kind of a push/pull at the same time so I take that to mean half and it works for me. Hope that helps.

Thanks Rachel, I am using fresh aloe leaf gel and it is working wonders. As soon as I get my chamomile oil mailed here, I will make a batch of your recipe and use it.

You're so welcome! You can use aloe as a carrier as well if you want to try that.
