Over the last few months, life changes brought me to Vermont. I have been off line and been busy settling, but now I am trying to rebuild community and what a better place to start.

I am looking for other farm girls in the North East Kingdom...Anyone here?

Robin-- I am way down here in Florida , but I have always wanted to live in Vermont. It is such a beautiful state! Good luck and let us know how the settling in goes for you!

Winnie,

The hardest thing is I had to give my goats away. So this sping will be a major turning point as I start building my "family" over. Step by step.

I am living in less then 700 square feet, no running water, minimal grid use till spring when new solar panels go up.Learning to heat primarily with wood is my current challenge, but I will figure it out.

Hi Robin! I was born and brought up in the great NEK, but now live in Florida. Welcome to the State of Grace.

I am a part-time NEKKER, spending as much time as possible at our cabin near beautiful Lake Willoughby. I make wool braided rugs, and also teach classes in rug-making. Welcome to the NEK! There's a goat & sheep owner on Rt. 5 in Sutton (?) who might be able to help you restart your "family". Best of luck.

Oh, and I will most likely have kids in March and April if you are ready. I will have nigerians and nigerian oberhausli mixes. I really have enjoyed my oberhausli /nigerian doe. She's medium sized, has a great personality, and plenty of milk and an easy milker! I got her as a "companion" goat but she has been my favorite!
