Okay, Y'all, I'm tackling the room that I've dreamed of being a playroom, but it has always been a junk room. I've got shelves and shelves of books. Anybody want any of these? (Some are dog-earred, by the way.) I'll be glad to find any of them a new home.
The Undomestic Goddess, Sophie Kinsella
The Purpose Driven Life, Rick Warren
How to Have A Smarter Baby, Dr. Susan Ludington-Hoe
Secrets of the Baby Whisperer, Tracy Hogg
Your Pregnancy after 30, Dr. Glade Curtis
The Emotional Life of the Toddler, Dr. Alicia Lieberman
The Biggest Loser, from that TV show
The Sweet Potato Queens' Book of Love, Jill Browne
Bridget Jones's Diary, Helen Fielding
Don't Pee on My Leg and Tell Me It's Raining, Judge Judy
The Nanny Diaries, Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus
Holly, Jude Deveraux
One True Thing, Anna Quindlen
Lucia, Lucia, Andriana Trigiani

Okay, there's more, but I'll stop. By the way, anyone know an easy way to pack a book to ship? I've never done it before.
Just let me know if there are any takers. List the book you want here so others will know it's a gone-ner.
By the way, I've used this without knowing what it meant. Now it shows me that means "kisses." Well, I picked it out because it looks like she has lipstick on and I always, always, always have lipstick on (it's a southern thing) So, I think I'll keep her, okay?

the best way to pack a book to ship is to put a little bubble wrap over it then wrap it with craft paper ..and the cheapest way to ship is media mail... we used to ship lots of books out via ebay sales. never had a problem with them getting damaged if we used a bit of bubble wrap.

Tina, Thanks, that sounds easy enough. I realized that I didn't say FREE in the original post. So, let me say it here...FREE.

I would love to have the Sophie Kinsell book (Undomesticated Goddess) and the Sweet Potatoe Queens book, if they're still available. Let me know and I'll email you my address.

Thanks for sharing -- I love books!

I love to read! I have quite a eclectic collection that drives DH nuts, if you still have them I've been wanting to read The Nanny Diaries,
Holly by Jude Deveraux, One True Thing, and Lucia, Lucia. I always just wrap books in a cut paper grocery sack and then permanent marker on the top the adresses, and definietly media mail-very cheap. I ship a lot of books to FL for a friend, we kinda have an exchange program between us for books we really enjoyed. Email me if you still have any of these, I will send you my adress right away. Thanks!

Hi Patti and Liz, Yep...they're yours. Just email me with your mailing address. I hope to have some more takers, then I'll make a trip to the P.O. Anybody else interested in any of the ones left?

Rebekah - Do you still have the Judge Judy one? If so, I'd love to have that one. She tells it like I wish I could!

Oh yes, Janice, the Judge Judy book is still looking for a new bookshelf. Just email me your address and I'll get it out to you. I keep waiting to go to the PO until more books are claimed. But, soon I'll go anyway...

Hi Rebekah,

If you still have the baby/toddler/pregnancy books, I can pass them to my newly pregnant cousin.

Jo

P.S. And, did you write that you have more books????

Hi Jo,
Yes! I still have the baby books. Do you want the pregnancy over 30 one too? Just email me your address. I'm definitely headed to the PO tomorrow morning.
Yes, honey, you wouldn't believe the books I've accumulated. I save them and save them and never, ever read them again. Crazy. I'll be listing some more later this week for sure. I also have cookbooks I want to find new homes for. I need to get the hang of mailing them out....I'm hoping the wrapping method does fine. Are you looking for anything in particular?

Rebekah, sorry I missed your post fromn October 16th - was travelling and lost a few of the posts along the way.

Yes, I'd like the books on Preg. - she is over 30 so go ahead and throw that one in too. Let me know what I can trade or pay postage on...

And, did you say cookbooks? COOKBOOKS? I love cookbooks!
