I have some wonderful ornaments made from delightful kits my Nana used to buy for our family every year. I bet some of you have seen or made these as well. I was too young to make a beautiful one when we did this every year... but I have some my mother made.

Please click on over to enjoy my pictures and my little story. =)

such pretties, Sandy! thanks for sharing...i think the memories of those ornament making times are so precious! those wonderful times make you the great person that you are now!Cherish them as you do the ornaments themselves!

the only realy Christmas memory that stands out of "doing" something with my gramma is making gingerbread men at her house when i was about 5 ! a year or so later she got very sick at Christmas and i try to block that memory! her birthday was Christmas day so i doubly miss her this time of year!

Sandy, Those ornaments are beautifully done. I hope to make a few of those with my girls sometime. What fond memories you must have to go along with them. Have a Merry Christmas!

Blessings

Thank you both. Margo, we sure do miss our grandmothers at Christmas Time, don't we! The memories from both sets of my grandparents are so wonderful.. and especially the Christmas memories. I'll think of you and your Gramma tomorrow when I see the gingerbread cookies at my aunt's house... she made them this week with her little grandchildren.

I have been on the internet today looking for kits to make more of these beauties. I intend to order them, and have them ready for an early December party next year!

Hello farmgirl sisters
Last year a friends mom knitted
everyone slippers, I loved them
and so did my DH we wore them all winter
and they were so warm and toasty
especially on cold feet in bed
so I thought wow this would be a great
gift for all my loved ones and friends so,
this year I knitted everyone
warm and cozy slippers, its was fun
and everyone really did love them.
I hunted for the thickest and softest wool
and each night made one pair...
Happy Feet... happy new year
Blessings Deborah

Sandy, I loved the ornaments. My Aunt Doris used to do one for each of us 12 grandchildren every year and I cherish mine. I saw one this week at an antiques store and they were selling it for $24.00-for 1 ornament! Amazing to me. So glad I have the ones my aunt made. Joey
