My black and white tree.

All my doggies and grand-doggies stuckings haning in a row!

Love your afghan! Didn't get to do as much decorating as I like but here are a couple of pics. Merry Christmas!

Sorry, these aren't the greatest pictures. My New Years resolution is to learn more about photography!

Merry Christmas all. Here's my 2012 tree, and my new latest decoration. A glamping trailer that lights up.

It looks just like our little trailer!

I do a LOT of decorating so this is only a taste.

My glampsite boots get wooly Christmas socks.

A few of the Santas in my collection

An ornament made for me by boys in my Childrens Choir about 20 years ago . . this ornament survived our house fire in 1994

An old lantern with a bow hanging at the edge of the deck

My Christmas ATC collection from this season, displayed on a wreath

I am enjoying seeing everyone's holiday decorations. We all do have our own unique ways of decorating and they are beautiful. Love the camper, I have one too. I purchased mine from the Hallmark store.

Love all the ornaments and decor you have on display this year. Everyone's is so unique and different! I don't celebrate Christmas or do much in the way of holiday decorating but I always pull out a few family favorites for the rest of my family that does celebrate Christmas. Just finished this mini display earlier today. Had to put it in a safer place this year since we'll have DH's 2 1/2 year old grandson running around the living room tomorrow. Can't wait to see the look on his face when he sees the new red bicycle santa left for him......

Cheers! ~ Marilyn

Oh, boy, do I wish I could've shared all the goodies with all of you! But I have to confess: I cheated, Kelly... I wish I could say I feel bad, but I don't. They were DIVINE, indeed! I just was having such a difficult time getting into the spirit this year, and before I knew it, the holiday was upon us. Gifts weren't finished or wrapped, cards weren't written (and still aren't, I'm ashamed to say!), none of the baking was done, and I barely had had time yet to get the decorations up... I was just so stressed about everything. This is certainly NOT the way I do Christmas, I assure you! My son suggested I take it easy this year, and instead head over to our favorite Italian bakery and pick up a few cookies and maybe one of their famous Rum cakes (To DIE for, I'm telling you - white cake layered with raspberry and chocolate creme filling, all soaked in rum and whitewashed in the most amazing frosty goodness - instant celebration! LOL!). Before I knew it, we were on our way! As soon as we walked through the door the magic began. The delicious smell of sugary goodness hit us like a big angel kiss the second we opened the door. The little jingle-lingle-ling of the door bell that greeted us was only a cheerful prelude to heavenly sound of Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" swirling in the air. I don't think I've ever seen the bakery in such magical Christmas splendor! They are known for their fancy pastries, cakes and goodies, but for some reason everything took on a new depth of wonder against the backdrop of Christmas decorations and Christmas carols ringing in the air. The ladies behind the counter were all donned in their finest retro Christmas kitsch, and welcomed customers with the warmest, cheeriest smiles I have ever beheld! And an abundance of irresistible little samples of the most amazing Italian treats were generously offered at every turn! Just one taste, and there was no turning back! ;) I had to giggle as my son shot me a wink and proclaimed that he'd be thrilled to just spend Christmas there! LOL! There was just such an overwhelming sense of genuine holiday joy in the bakery that dreary afternoon that we couldn't help BUT be swept away by the Christmas spirit! When my son saw the Buche de Noel, he went nuts - and I fell in love with the vintage decorations and sugar works... Then they let us TASTE it.... Oh... My.... Gosh... TOO good - chocolate cake rolled around a raspberry cream filling and wrapped in the fudgiest chocolate frosting you could ever imagine. We had to. We just HAD to have it. One of the older counter ladies started to dance and sing along when "Rocking Around The Christmas Tree" came on. Before I knew it, I was swinging, and my son was swaying and then everyone else in the place was giggling and singing and swinging, too! It was one of those "perfect memory moments," you know? We grabbed a box of Italian Christmas cookies (complete with Jordan Almonds and foil-wrapped chocolates), requested a chocolate eclair to split on the way home, and before we knew it our beautiful cakes were boxed and tied up in bows of string. The lady waiting on us winked and suggested that my son hold my hand to help me brace myself while the register kept ringing. Man, does this bakery know how to do it right! LOL! I was so taken by the entire experience that I didn't care about the bill one bit (but only just this once!) - the entire experience was worth every penny... Christmas goodies AND the Christmas spirit all in one! Priceless! I told my son that, "Mom's getting baked goods for Christmas this year, I guess!" and we both giggled all the way home. And let me tell you, the goodies were oh so deeeelicious - Dad didn't even bat an eyelash when he saw the receipt! Oh yes, that bakery knows how to do it right, for sure! LOL! :) Hugs - Nini
