I love owls. They are amazing creatures! And to see a great horned owl! That is amazing......I just wish you could have met under better circumstances.....like at a safe distance and not because it was after your chickens. :( So sorry for your lost hen and I am so glad none of you were hurt!!

Nellie sure is cute! We've got a few hens that look like her (Silver Lace?) and they are all very nervous (like you mentioned about Nellie). Do you think that is something with that kind of chicken?
